Getting started

LifeSift turns your personal and household paperwork into a private, searchable catalog. Scan a paper document with the camera, import a PDF from Files, or share a document from Mail or another app via the share sheet — LifeSift files it, summarizes it, and pulls out the key facts and dates, all on your iPhone.

Requirements

LifeSift requires an iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later. On-device AI features use Apple Intelligence. iCloud Sync is optional and off by default. LifeSift is currently pre-release, with an App Store launch upcoming — email support@lifesift.app to be notified at launch.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get documents into LifeSift?
Three ways: scan paper with the camera, import a PDF from the Files app, or share a document or email attachment from another app and choose LifeSift in the share sheet. If LifeSift doesn't appear in the share sheet, scroll to the end of the app row, tap More, and enable it.

What is Advanced AI, and when is it used?
Advanced AI is a LifeSift Pro feature for long or complex documents. Your document is sent to LifeSift's secure cloud — powered by Anthropic's Claude — only when you tap "Process with Advanced AI" or "Ask About This Document" and confirm the consent sheet. It is never automatic, and uploads for document Q&A are deleted when the session ends. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I manage or cancel my LifeSift Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Open your App Store subscriptions, or follow Apple's guide to canceling a subscription. Canceling takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

I subscribed, but Pro features are locked.
Open LifeSift's Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account that made the purchase.

How do I turn iCloud Sync or on-device AI on or off?
Both have toggles in LifeSift's in-app Settings. iCloud Sync is off by default for new installs; turning it on stores your catalog in your own private iCloud database so it's available across your devices.

I'm not getting key-date reminders.
Make sure notifications are allowed in iOS Settings → Notifications → LifeSift. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, so no account or network connection is needed.

How do I delete my data?
Delete individual documents in the app anytime. Deleting the app removes all on-device data. If you enabled iCloud Sync, you can remove that data in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. See the Privacy Policy for what is and isn't stored.

Terms of Use

LifeSift Pro is offered under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. LifeSift Pro is an auto-renewing subscription ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) billed through your Apple Account; it renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
